performances: overview

space requirements

  • Stage / large room (performance space should be 9'/12').
  • Lighted playing area.
  • Microphones good for Q&A, but not usually needed for the performance.

time requirements

  • All plays are 45 minutes--followed by 15 minutes Q&A with the actors.
  • One hour of follow-up discussion sessions--on-stage or small groups.
  • So----allow two hours total for the play and the follow-up.

The Players' performances introduce theater into the health curriculum--a combination of serious and zany, reflecting the experiences of the players themselves. As one student wrote,
