sober actor / educators

Are you a talented sober actor, musician, or stand-up comic living in Boston or New York? Are you between the ages of 18-45, have a background and interest in performing / teaching, and thrive working in an ensemble? Do you long to merge your creativity and your sobriety - and not have to hide either of them?  If you enjoy 'giving back', this is one of the best jobs you'll ever have! Contact the Players office to learn about openings in Boston and New York.

  • Paid performances, rehearsals, and travel expenses.
  • Writing new plays and sketches through improv.
  • Sharing your experience, strength and hope with the public.

You must be one year clean and sober to audition.

volunteer - be an intern - serve a non-profit !

  • Hands-on learning experience in arts administration
  • Help with marketing and sales
  • Work on a fundraising campaign
  • Write articles about the Players for print or web
  • Introduce the Players to decision-makers in schools, colleges, and community organizations
  • Research avenues for raising funds
  • Work on specific arts-in-prevention projects: research, evaluation, collaborations
