Improbable Players is seeking an evaluator to work as part of a team that will be designing survey tools to measure the effectiveness of its actor training, performances and drama workshops to qualify as an evidence-based prevention practice. The job starts immediately. Improbable Players was chosen by CSAP (Center for Substance Abuse Prevention) to participate in the Service to Science program. This national initiative is providing the Players with Technical Assistance from the Northeast Regional CAPT (Center for the Application of Prevention Technologies ) located at EDC in Newton, MA This is an exciting opportunity for an evaluator to contribute to a national initiative from SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) where the goal is to prevent and reduce substance abuse among youth. New and innovative programs are included in NREPP (National Registry of Evidence Based Prevention Practices ). The evaluator will be working along with evaluation technical assistance providers through the Northeast Regional CAPT. Job Duties:
Assist in the design of an appropriate data collection plan
Assist in the creation of evaluation tools (surveys, fidelity check-lists, interview/focus group protocols)
Collect and enter data when necessary (conduct interviews or focus groups)
Conduct data analysis of the collected data and share results with project director
Write an evaluation report based on the findings
